Characters

Character Descriptions Character: Rann Dominique - First appears: Issue 1, "The Selfish Wish" - Role: protagonist, resurrected reluctant hero. - Visual identifiers: adult man in his late 20s to early 30s, brown eyes, brown tan skin, short curly afro of black hair, expressive face that shifts between restless boredom, panic, awe, and reluctant resolve. Before death he wears casual modern street clothes. After resurrection he has a dark glittering halo floating above his head and dark extradimensional armor marked with glowing question marks that change color with his powers. - Continuity notes: Rann wished for superpowers on the falling alien prison, died in the crash, was rejected from Hell by an invisible mercy, and returned to life with unstable powers that shift randomly. His first motive is fear of Hell and wanting to live, but his long-term test is learning selflessness. - Reference image: ../reference-images/rann-dominique-character.png Character: Dark Angel - First appears: Issue 1, "The Selfish Wish" - Role: Limbo angel, guide, judge, reluctant mentor. - Visual identifiers: tall and imposing angelic figure with both heavenly and demonic traits: ash-gray skin, severe face, black feathered wings with faint ember cracks, horn-like shadow shapes above the brow, dark robes over worn ceremonial armor, dim gold eyes, and a stern posture. He is surrounded by pale Limbo fog and black-gold gateway light. - Continuity notes: Dark Angel chastises Rann for selfishly wasting his wish, opens a gateway to Hell, discovers Rann is protected by higher mercy, and sends him back to Earth with armor and guidance. He wants Rann to succeed but cannot freely intervene. - Reference image: ../reference-images/dark-angel-character.png
